The letter notes that this shipment is "c/o Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, Connecticut", with a remark that Colt was under an arrangement c.1895-1915 where Winchester was acting as their export agent. Blade and notch sights, with the two-line Hartford address and "45 COLT" on the barrel, and the two-line, three-date patent markings next to the Rampant Colt on the frame. No "VP" stamp is present on the trigger guard, which along with the back strap is numbered to match the frame. Fitted with a set of checkered Rampant Colt grips.
