Description:

Manufactured in 1900. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address ahead of the rear sight and "25 R.F." at the breech. The patent markings and serial number are marked on the lower tang. Nickel silver blade front and adjustable rear sporting sights, blue finish with casehardened hammer, breech block and lever, and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent steel buttplate. The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with a 26 inch no. 2 barrel in .25 rimfire and plain trigger when received in the warehouse on September 14, 1901, and shipped on December 9.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% plus original blue finish with some edge wear, a small area of minor spotting on the upper right side of the receiver and a few minor scratches and handling marks. 98% of the original case colors remain on the hammer, breech block and lever. The wood is also excellent with a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. A seldom encountered Winchester low wall in excellent condition.
