Manufactured in 1905. Dovetailed beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear sporting sights. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates followed by "35 CAL" ahead of the rear sight. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. The action has the standard detachable box magazine and a checkered push button safety. The upper tang is fitted with a short range peep sight. The serial number is stamped on the left side of the receiver and trigger guard. Mounted on a nicely figured fancy walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, hard rubber grip cap, and a checkered Winchester buttplate. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, checkered pistol grip stock, that it was received in the warehouse on December 7, 1905, and "No shipping date given".

Excellent with 97% plus bright original high polish blue finish remaining showing some mild muzzle and edge wear and some light flaking and a few minor scratches on the receiver. The wood is very fine, showing some scattered minor chips in the finish, dents and scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
