Manufactured in 1905. Fitted with dovetailed German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sporting notch sights. The top of the barrel is roll stamped with the Winchester two-line New Haven address and patent dates followed by "35 CAL" ahead of the rear sight. The top of the barrel and receiver are marked with the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. The action has the standard detachable box magazine, and a checkered push button safety. The upper tang is stamped "MOD-1905/WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK", and the serial number is stamped on the left side of the receiver and trigger guard. Mounted on a nicely figured fancy walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, hard rubber grip cap, and a checkered Winchester buttplate.

Exceptionally fine with 85% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish remaining. Displaying some light high point and edge wear, scattered spotting, handling marks, and a few small dings near the muzzle. The wood is very fine with most of the original piano finish, well defined checkering, scattered nicks, a few small indentations. Mechanically excellent.
