This rifle was manufactured in 1928. Factory records (copy not included) indicate that it was shipped September 24,1929, to Abercrombie and Fitch in New York, and was subsequently returned to the factory for service (not stated what work was performed) and re-shipped February 10, 1932. It has a beaded blade front sight on a serrated ramp, two leaf rear sight, and receiver mounted Lyman peep sight. The receiver and breech have factory floral scroll engraving. It is mounted with a checkered Schnabel tip forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap and serrated steel buttplate. The buttplate has the Savage logo near the toe.
