The accompanying factory letter lists this rifle with an optional 28 inch octagon barrel (26 inch was standard) in .303 Savage, hard rubber buttplate and grade "A" stock checkering when shipped on August 24, 1904 to C.A. Waterbury (address unknown). Equipped with Lyman beaded blade front, Lyman folding two-leaf rear and tang peep sights. The receiver has a cartridge counter.
