The barrel is signed "RUTTE IN BOH.. LEIPPA" in silver (other than the "O") surrounded by silver inlaid stars and braided patterns. It also has blade and notch sights and a smooth bore. The barrel rotates to the right for loading. A small port on the right side of the action opens to attach the crank. The butt has checkering and pins and silver plated side plates. The forearm has a horn cap and iron rod. Bohemian gunmaker Josef Rutte was active c.1801-1853 in Bohmisch-Leipa.

Fine with 70% original blue finish on the barrel, vast majority of the original silver, aged patinas on the silver and brass, gray patina and minor pitting on the body and back strap, cracked and spliced stock on the right behind the crank, and general scrapes and dings. Mechanically needs work.
