This rifle was manufactured c. 1908 and has a winged and ramped post front sight, textured top barrel flat with flanged breech section for sight mounting, ribs, "FLUSS-STAHL-KRUPP-ESSEN L" on the left flat, nitro and "BUG" proofs, "18" on various components (even the heel screw), and elaborate oak leaf engraving surrounding detailed schuetzen scenes on the side of the action, integral mount for a peep sight on the upper tang, adjustable double set triggers, and Schnabel forearm and Tyrolean buttstock with floral carving, checkered wrist, thumb rest, carved schuetzen scene on the right side of the butt, monogrammed German silver initial plate at the toe, and Swiss buttplate. Includes two boxes of ammunition. Missing rear sight.

Very good with crisp carving and engraving, subtle original casehardened finish, 20% original blue finish, patches of moderate pitting concentrated on the center of the barrel and buttplate, crisp engraving, spliced cheekpiece and thumb rest, gap at the toe, and minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine.
