The maker's have also confirmed that the shotgun was finished at the factory for Count Eltz Vukovar of Slavonia on October 1, 1903 and delivered to Budapest along with number 23384 and numbered "3" and "4", to match an earlier pair of Royal guns, numbers 16733 and 16734. Also included is a hand written note on Katun Corporation stationery from company co-founder Terence Michael Clarke to an unnamed Dubai sultan, offering the shotgun as a gift for his help and sponsorship for the Katun Corporation in the nation of Dubai. Katun is the world largest manufacturer of after market copier parts. Blued barrels with single bead sight on the smooth concave rib marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98 NEW BOND STREET, LONDON", 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, light scroll engraving around the breech, gold inlaid "4" on top of the rib at the breech, and cylinder/cylinder chokes. The receiver and 9 pin lock plates are fully engraved with fine English scroll, cross hatched shading, punch dot backgrounds, gold lined cocking indicators, and "ROYAL/HAMMERLESS/EJECTOR" marked on the underside. The break lever is marked with a matching gold inlaid "4". With dual triggers and automatic tang safety. Finely figured checkered forearm with Anson patent latch, engraved fittings, and replacement straight grip stock with blank gold initial oval, and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .738/.740 inch; minimum wall thickness .024/.019 inch; drop at comb; 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 inches, weight 6 lbs. 7 oz. With canvas and leather takedown case with reproduction Holland & Holland interior label, snap caps, and cleaning tools.

Very fine as refurbished. 99% blue finish remains with mostly light handling marks on the shortened barrels with modified dovetail lugs. The receiver and locks have an attractive gray patina with sharp engraving, traces of subdued case colors, minor wear on the trigger guard, and some very light brown spotting. The replacement wood is very fine with attractive grain, crisp checkering, and some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with some exterior storage marks and scuffs.
