Manufactured at Mukden Arsenal in Manchuria, the "Manchurian Mauser" shows features of both the Japanese Arisaka and the German Mauser series of rifles. Manufactured from 1933 to 1939, with production believed to have ended with the Japanese occupation of Manchuria. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the arsenal marking on the receiver ring and a pair of slots for an Arisaka-type reciprocating dust cover (not included). Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock and a tan canvas sling.
Very fine, with 85% plus original finish, showing a mixed patina on the bolt and receiver, bright edge wear and mild handling marks. The stock is very good, with some dents and scuffs. The otherwise fine sling is torn at end and lightly stained. Mechanically excellent.
