Description:

Dated "19.2" (February 1944). Fixed sights, smooth trigger, serrated safety and rounded back cocking knob, exposed sear and checkered grips. Two magazines are included, each numbered "006" and one bearing a small dot stamp, as is a brown leather holster. Consignor supplied notes attribute the pistol as a bring-back by a World War II prisoner of war but do not identify said POW; while General Saint's father, Lieutenant Colonel Frederick Saint, was captured in Bataan when the Philippines fell to the Japanese, he did not survive the experience.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 75% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear, scattered spotting and mild handling marks. The grips are also fine, with some light dings. The holster is fair, with the flap deliberately removed and some mild scuffs and cracks. Mechanically very good.
