According to the included factory letter, this pistol was one of 851 shipped to the Springfield Armory on December 30, 1944. Fixed sights, with the two-line address and patent block on the left side of the slide ahead of the Rampant Colt, the caliber marking on the right, and "U.S. PROPERTY" on the frame. Parkerized overall with a polished barrel, full blue magazine, and checkered Rampant Colt grips. Includes an unmarked General Officers black leather belt and holster, the former equipped with a gilt round "American Eagle" buckle.

Excellent, with 98% plus original parkerized finish, showing some light scratches, edge wear and handling marks. A small amount of verdigris has built up on the grips and safety. The very fine leather shows some mild stress marks. Mechanically excellent.
