Manufactured in February of 1944 and subsequently arsenal upgraded to M1D Sniper configuration. Blade front and peep rear sights, with "DRC" and "S SI-" drums and a Springfield "S-A-6-52" barrel with integral scope base. Internal components include a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, safety and the relief-cut operating rod, and "LL/D 28291 32" on the receiver leg. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, Springfield "S.A." and Raritan Arsenal "R.A." cartouches on the left side, and a checkered steel buttplate. A plain brown shipping box is included, containing the following accessories: a green canvas scope pouch, assorted cleaning gear (sealed packaging), green canvas sling, leather cheekpiece, and a U.S. M84 scope with mount, sun shield and rubber eye piece.
