Manufactured in 1981 with standard markings and features and subsequently beautifully embellished with gold inlay. The revolver shows widespread vine and leaf pattern gold inlay as well as elaborate barrel and cylinder bands. There are also high relief gold washed Rampant Colts on the frame, a U.S. Marshal badge on the loading gate, and a revolver in a holster rig on the top of the back strap. The grips show elaborate carvings featuring a bald eagle holding a banner marked "E. PLURIBUS UNUM" mirrored on both panels. The front strap is signed "J.K.B. '86" under the left grip panel. Includes a display case with a "Ned Buntline" Special commemorative plaque inside.

Very fine, retains 99% original blue finish with some scattered minor scratches and dings. The Rampant Colt on the recoil shield retains little of its gold wash with the balance faded to an antique silver. The grips are excellent with a few light dings around the bottom edge and crisp carving. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some minor handling/storage wear.
