Engraved F.W. Heym Double Barrel 20 Gauge Shotgun

Single bead sight on the matte concave rib, 3 inch chambers (marked 70mm), ejectors, standard German proofs on the flats, cylinder chokes, and 14 1/8 inch false barrel soldered to the rib just ahead of the forearm (intended to resemble a drilling). The barrels are marked "FIALA, NEW YORK/HEYM - SUHL". Fancy scroll engraved receiver with standard markings and proofs, dual triggers and tang safety. Checkered beavertail forearm with channels filled with lead to add weight, and straight grip stock with blank initial oval and solid Old English recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

ConditionFine as refinished (barrels) and false barrel added. 95% of the blue finish remains with slightly light markings, handling marks overall and some small dings. The receiver has 40% original case colors (brighter in the protected areas) with an attractive dark gray patina on the balance and sharp engraving. The refinished wood is also fine with attractive grain and color, crisp checkering and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
