Parker built a grand total of 63 GHs in 10 gauge. This example was manufactured in 1929 and is one of 40 GH shotguns in 10 gauge built with 32 inch special steel barrels. Dual bead sights on a matte concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. PARKER SPEC. STEEL," single extractor, 2 7/8 inch chambers, and full chokes. Water table marked "GH/229769/2," and barrel lug marked "10/3." The game bird scene and floral engraved receiver has double triggers and an automatic tang safety. The lower tang, barrels and forearm are numbered to gun. Nicely figured and multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber factory grip cap, blank initial shield and unmarked solid recoil pad. Stock and barrel measurements: bore diameter at 9 inches from the breech .779/.780; Bore constriction .040(full)/.040(full); drop at comb 1 5/8 inches, drop at heel 2 5/8 inches, length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Exceptionally fine. The barrels retain 90% plus of the original blue. 85% original case colors remain on the receiver, and 90% plus bright original blue finish remains on the trigger guard. The reoiled wood is fine with a tiny chip missing from the forearm, minor handling evidence, and crisp checkering overall. There is a dark streak on the comb of the buttstock (possibly caused by bore solvent) running from the upper tang to the hardened Silvers recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
