Manufactured in 1918. The chart on page 353 of "The Parker Story" by Gunther, Mullins, Parker, Price, and Cote, lists approximately 15 AA grade, 12 gauge shotguns manufactured with 28 inch Whitworth steel barrels. "Parker Gun Identification and Serialization" verifies the grade, ejectors, straight grip stock, and lists the barrels at 28 inches. Dual bead sights on the matte, concave rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. WHITWORTH STEEL" with 2 3/4 inch chambers, automatic ejectors, and improved cylinder/modified chokes. The under side of each barrel is stamped "REP" inside an oval indicating proofing at Remington. The barrels feature 2 1/4 inch wedges of fine, tight scroll engraving forward of the breech with standard patent markings on the flats and matching serial number. The receiver features full coverage floral and scroll engraving with sculpted fences, "PARKER BROS" on either side, engraved, added gold plated single selective trigger, and automatic tang safety. Matching numbered, multi-point checkered forearm with engraved fittings and finely figured straight grip stock with relief carved fleur-de-lis accents, checkered flats, blank gold initial oval, and fully engraved skeleton buttplate over a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .743/.746 inch; bore constriction .010(improved cylinder)/.017(modified); minimum wall thickness .023/.022 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches.

Very fine as professionally Remington factory refurbished. 98% of the blue finish remains on the barrels with slightly light engraving and rib markings, some small scratches, and a very small gap at the breech end of the rib. The receiver has 95% of the refurbished case colors with tight engraving and some light handling marks. The replacement highly figured wood is also very fine with crisp checkering and carving and some small dings. Mechanically excellent.
