Standard D grade engraving on the receiver with hunting dogs on the sides and four pheasants on the underside. The balance is engraved with flowing vine scroll engraving. Standard markings on the water table. With dual triggers and manual tang safety. Multi-point checkered splinter forearm with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with hard rubber Parker Brothers grip cap and lightly engraved blue steel skeleton buttplate over a checkered bare butt. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .671/.670 inch; minimum wall thickness .021/.021 inch; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches; length of pull 13 3/4 inches.

Very fine. 95% original blue finish remains on the barrels with some small dings and surface scratches, sharp markings, and some forearm marks. The receiver has 40% original muted case colors with a dark gray patina on the balance, sharp engraving, and some light handling marks. The refinished wood is fine with crisp well defined checkering, small scattered dings, refinished buttplate, and some adhesive under the buttplate edges. Mechanically excellent.
