Built by Griffin & Howe on a European Mauser receiver with ramped beaded blade front and flip up elevation adjustable rear sight leaf, "No. 1773 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK" marked barrel with banded sling swivel eye, Griffin & Howe receiver side mounted scope base and Lyman 3-9x scope. With jewelled bolt, extractor, and follower, and round bolt handle knob with checkered panels. The right side of the receiver is fitted with a Lyman adjustable peep sight base. Multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with horn forend cap, blue steel grip cap, raised cheekpiece, and serrated blue steel trapdoor buttplate containing the aperture portion of the Lyman receiver sight.

Very fine as custom assembled and finished by Griffin & Howe. 99% of the custom blue finish remaining and a few light handling marks. The stock is also very fine with attractive color and grain, some small dings, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is excellent with clear optics.
