The makers have kindly confirmed that this shotgun was completed in June 1999 noting that the stock was to be Deluxe grade walnut. The blued barrels have a single bead sight on a solid matte rib marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND, LONDON," London nitro proofs dated 1997, "WOODCOCK HILL BENTON PA" marked on the lower barrel under the forearm, 3 inch chambers, improved cylinder/modified chokes and ejectors. The action and lock plates have near full coverage of Holland & Holland "Royal Scroll" engraving scrollwork with the locks marked "HOLLAND & HOLLAND", and the underside of the receiver is marked "THE/"ROYAL"." The scrollwork extends to the forearm hardware, hold open break lever and rolled edge trigger guard. The engraving was done by G.L. Clark (signature near the trigger). The lower tang has the serial number in flush gold. The action has a single trigger, hand detachable lock plates, gold inlaid cocking indicators and manual tang safety with "SAFE" in gold. The barrels, lower tang and forearm hardware are numbered to the gun. Mounted on highly figured and multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap, tear drop flats, "GJK" marked gold initial oval and checkered bare butt. Bore and stock measurements: bore 9 inches from the breech, both barrels proved and measuring at 15.6mm (.615), chokes .008/.013, minimum wall thickness, .029/.030, drop at comb 1 1/8 inches, drop at heel 2 1/8 inches, length of pull 14 3/8 inches., weight 6 lbs. 4 oz. With original factory brass cornered oak and leather fitted takedown case with green gilt lettered Holland & Holland trade label and containing numerous Holland & Holland named accessories including oil bottle, snap caps, and three screwdrivers. With canvas and leather outer initialed "G.J.K." Also with aluminum flight case with applied Holland & Holland trade label.

Excellent plus overall, retaining over 99% of the respective finishes and showing very limited evidence of handling or use and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. The oak case is very fine showing some minor handling/storage marks. A true example of a very desirable Holland & Holland small gauge over and under shotgun.
