Offered here is a masterpiece in firearm art crafted by renowned Master Engraver Angelo Bee. The rifle was originally manufactured prior to 1925 and then later highly embellished and fitted with an attractive highly figured, high gloss stock. The barrel has a dovetailed beaded blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight and is marked ".22 L" along with a Belgian proof on the left side near the breech and "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL-BELGIQUE/BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE" on top ahead of the rear sight. Additional Belgian proofs are found on the upper left side of the frame, and the left side of the trigger guard is marked "FN" inside an oval. The frame and trigger guard have a semi-relief floral scroll engraving. The scrollwork on the frame surrounds wonderfully detailed gold inlaid dog and game bird scenes. Additional engraved scrollwork is featured on the flat buttplate. This impressive work of art is signed by Angelo Bee on both sides of the frame ("A. BEE"). The frame and trigger guard are French gray, the slide bar is bright, the trigger is gold plated, and the remaining metal surfaces are blue. The beautiful, highly figured forearm and round knob pistol grip stock feature fine skip-line checkering. The wood in its own right is a work of art. Includes an unmarked custom locking case and a certificate of authenticity for the engraving.

Excellent overall as masterfully embellished by Angelo Bee, retains 99% plus original French grey and blue finishes with a few light handling marks, crisp engraving, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is excellent with some scattered light wear.
