Manufactured in 1918. The rifle is fitted with Windgauge adjustable front, elevation adjustable rear, and Vernier tang peep sights. The No. 4 barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent date information and "32-40." The lower tang has the 1879 patent date and the serial number. A Winchester factory oval proof is on the barrel and receiver at the breech. The action has close coupled double set triggers. Mounted on a smooth forearm and straight grip stock. The Schnabel forearm has an ebony tip insert. The buttstock has a nickel plated Swiss buttplate.

Very fine, retaining 85% plus bright original blue finish with the balance thinning to a brown. 40% original case colors remain. 95% plus original nickel plating remains on the buttplate. The stock is very fine showing some minor handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. A nice High Wall with Swiss buttplate for your growing Winchester or single shot collection.
