Constructed from brown cardboard, with a black-on-green lid label and a black-on-white seal. The lid label bears a picture of the 44-40 cartridge, and is marked for 50 rounds of solid head ammo, with the New Haven address below. The seal features a picture of the cartridge on the right side, the Model 1873 rifle on the front, and the guarantee on the back.

Very good, with some light stains and wear. The markings are clear, and the seal appears unmolested.
