Description:

The C.A. Fischer & Sohn shop was active for nearly 240 years from 1778 to 2018 in the port city of Lubeck in Northern Germany. The rifle has blade and notch sights, "C.A. FISCHER & SOHN IN LUBECK" in gold and bordered by silver on the top of the damascus pattern barrel, a silver band at the breech, scroll engraving on the breech and German silver furniture, double set triggers, a reposed deer engraved on the trigger guard bow, sling swivels on one ramrod pipe and the butt, checkered wrist, grooved wooden patch box lid with horn release button, and cheek rest.

Rating Definition:

Fine with dramatic twist patterns along the barrel, light gray patina, minimal minor spotting, vice mark at the breech, minimal wear, and crisp engraving. The stock is also fine and has attractive figure, smooth finish, and minor pressure marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
