Casehardened hand detachable side lock with profuse floral engraving, roe deer hunting scene on the left side plate, stag scene on the right side plate, signed "KRIEGHOFF DRILLING/NEPTUN" on the underside, double triggers with set rifle trigger, rifle cocked by lever on left side ahead of the trigger guard, trigger guard numbered to gun and engraved to match with relief engraved monogram, and horn trigger guard extension. Walnut pistol grip stock featuring multi-point checkering, forearm hardware and cartridge compartment engraved to match, horn grip cap, Boyt leather sling, cheekpiece, and vented Pachmayr recoil pad. Bore and stock measurements (R/L): chambers measured at 2 9/16 inches; bores 9 inches from the breech proved and measured at “16/1” (.675); chokes measured at .028/.028; length of pull 13 1/4 inches; weight 7 lbs. 12 oz.

Very fine. The barrels retain 97% refinished blue showing scattered handling marks and some muzzle wear. The action has faded to a gray. The engraving is crisp. The wood is fine with a couple short hairline stress cracks near the action, some minor handling marks and some blemishes in the checkering. Mechanically excellent.
