This handsomely engraved matching pair of shotguns feature single red bead sights on matte vent rib barrels with 3 inch chambers and automatic ejectors. The barrel flats, breech face, lugs, forearm retainer, upper surfaces of the forearm shoe, and ejectors are brilliantly engine turned. The barrels have 3 inch wedges of fine scroll engraving just forward of the breech. The receivers have near full coverage finely executed scroll engraving with highly detailed game scene vignettes depicting a gold inlaid pointer on the right side, a gold inlaid setter on the left, a pair of gold inlaid pheasants on the underside and the gold inlaid bust of a hunting dog on the trigger guard. The recoil shields on both shotguns are relief chiseled oak leaves. Each animal has been carefully rendered in lustrous raised relief gold inlay. The actions feature gold plated single selective triggers and automatic tang mounted thumb safeties with gold inlaid "SAFE" markings. Mounted on intensely figured AAA fancy American walnut beavertail forearms with contrasting ebony tip inserts and straight grip stock with style "B" fleur de lies checkering, engraved fittings, and inset gold initial ovals. The measurements for the "A" gun are: improved cylinder/modified chokes; 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 15 oz.

Near new with some light handling marks and a very small imperfection on the right side of the receiver. The wood is excellent with crisp checkering, highly attractive figure, rich color, and some scattered small impressions. Mechanically excellent.
