Manufactured in 1922. The frame is marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number on the right side, with "22" and "I/VP" on the trigger guard. Fitted with a pair of checkered grips, an unmarked two-tone magazine, and a "COLT 45 AUTO" barrel with an "N" and a large "G" ahead of the lug. Includes a properly labeled Colt black box (penciled S/N is faint, but appears to match), barrel brush, and an instruction manual (with stamped note on cover declaring the component pricing obsolete).

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing a gray and brown patina on the high edges and grip frame, scattered minor spotting and mild handling marks. Some dents are present, concentrated on the right side. The grips are good, with heavier wear visible on lower right panel, some dents and scuffs. The box shows wear and tear appropriate to age and use, concentrated along the edges, with part of the lid detached but included. The labels show mild staining and tearing, but aside from the last "s" in "Smokeless" the markings are clear and legible. Mechanically excellent.
