Produced using original Garand machinery sourced from Winchester, the Italian M1 was manufactured for both the Italian and Danish armed forces, supplementing American-supplied Garands with a European-made counterpart. Blade front sight marked "GR PB" and adjustable peep rear sight with "PB" drums and wings, "B.Sid. 1956" marked barrel, "PB" bolt, "SA" trigger housing, "SA" hammer, an unmarked operating rod and "PB/D-6528291" on the left receiver leg. Smooth unmarked pistol grip stock, with a checkered steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 70% of the parkerized finish, showing some bright edge wear, areas of gray patina, minor spotting and light handling marks. Some pitting is visible on the op rod. The stock is very good, with a patched repair on the underside of the buttstock and a number of scratches, dents and scuffs overall. The follower slide is absent, otherwise the rifle is mechanically fine.
