World War II U.S. Remington Arms Model 11 Semi-Automatic Shotgun

Dated to July of 1943. Single bead sight, with the barrel marked for a cylinder choke and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. The U.S. markings are present on the upper left side of the receiver ahead of "MILITARY FINISH", with the Remington trade mark on the left side over the serial number, "W" on the trigger guard and "MODEL 11" on the bolt. Smooth forearm and pistol grip stock, with the Ordnance "crossed cannons" cartouche ahead of "FJA" (WWII-era inspector Frank Atwood) on the left side of the buttstock, a serrated Remington buttplate and a 14 inch length of pull.

ConditionVery fine, with 97% of the original blue finish, showing some light edge wear and handling marks overall. A chip has been re-glued/re-mounted in the toe of the buttstock, and the wood is otherwise very fine, with some light dents and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
