Description:

Manufactured by Willys and Ford from 1941 to 1945 as the MB and GPW respectively, this ¼ ton 4x4 truck was listed by General Dwight D. Eisenhower among the three primary tools that won the Second World War. This model is the beginning of what is more commonly called a Jeep and was very popular during WWII with U.S. and allied troops. It was simple and reliable workhorse with few creature comforts but exceptional cross country abilities. The MB was used for many years after the war until it was replaced by the M38 Jeep, inspiring several generations of military light utility vehicles, and evolved into a civilian model (CJ series). Enzo Ferrari described the Jeep as "America's only real sports car." The Jeep is one of the most sought after pieces of WWII equipment with a size that can easily fit in a standard garage. This example has a 7-7-1942 delivery date and features a USMC paint scheme and Willys Go Devil straight 4 cylinder engine. Consignor research and vehicle title are included.

Rating Definition:

Well restored in both body and paint. It runs very well. A great chance to get your hands on the Jeep that started it all!
