Manufactured by Soviet State Arsenal in the mid-1950s to replace the SPG-82 rocket launcher, the B-10 recoilless rifle (known as the RG82 in East Germany) was used extensively by the Soviets into the 1960s. A crew of at least two people could effectively fire 6 to 7 mortar-like projectiles per minute, and the effective anti-tank range was 400 meters. Although obsolete the B-10 can still be found in arsenals throughout the third world. It has been used in a number of conflicts in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
