Description:

Developed shortly after the end of World War II, the SKS was the signature weapon of the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact client states until the introduction of the AK-47. East German forces made active use of the weapon, often in conjunction with newer AK variants and WWII-vintage 98k and Sturmgewehr rifles. Post front and tangent rear sights, the latter marked "-SV-" in the rear "battle range" spot. The receiver is marked "MfNV/1a" and "K95" next to the serial number, with matching numbers on the bolt carrier, dust cover, magazine, trigger guard, and stock, as well as matching electro-penciled numbers on some smaller components. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, brown leather sling and a hinged knife bayonet.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% of the original blue finish, showing a few hints of brown patina, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The stock is very fine, with some scuffs and dings, and the sling shows some mild cracking. Mechanically excellent.
