Manufactured in 1916, this rifle is equipped with a sliding dust cover, which consists of a base and guide assembly that attached to the breech of the barrel and a sliding cover that moves with the bolt. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with a bright receiver marked "30" above the standard ring markings, "305" on the right side opposite the serial number, and a smooth pistol grip stock with a smooth buttplate. The bolt handle has been turned and flattened in a "butter knife" profile. Also included is a blue steel extended "trench magazine", marked with a "J" on the back and a "crown/gothic letter" on the right side.

Good, with a mixed brown and gray patina overall. The bolt is a mixed numbered modified replacement. Stock is very good, with scuffs and dents. Some repairs are visible on the magazine retainer and chain. Mechanically fine.
