Description:

Constructed from early style iron guard with a ribbed wood handle, 13 1/2 inches overall, with an 8 1/2 inch single edged blade set in an iron guard marked "129", and "S.W.P./1881" stamped on the butt. With a brown leather sheath, fitted with a brass throat and a belt loop with hinged cartridge loop bar and Watervliet Arsenal marks on the back.

Rating Definition:

Very good overall. The metal components show a mixed gray patina with scattered light pitting and handling marks. The grip is good, with some mild dings, and the sheath shows some scuffs, cracks and verdigris.
