The breech section of the rifled barrels have "PORTEE GIE/120 METRES"(horizontally) and "J.F.F.A" (vertically) on top (double stamped on A). The barrels also feature attractive "thunderstorm" engraving around the post front sights and border engraving at the front of the octagonal sections. The bottom of the barrels and frames are marked "11" (A) and "11." (B). The frames have shell and scroll engraving. The grips have fluted wrists and scroll/floral carving. The case lid is inscribed "Mr Gustave Cremieux" in script. The interior is closely fitted to the pistols, rods, a small powder flask, bullet mold, and turnscrew and has a key in the lidded compartment.
