Cased Pair of Engraved Breech Loading Box Lock Percussion Pocket Pistols Marked by Patrick of Liverpool

A) Patrick Pocket Pistol

Ann Patrick was active c. 1820-1833 carrying on the business of Edward Patrick in Liverpool. The screw-off barrels have bands of engraving at the muzzles and breeches and Birmingham proofs on the bottom. The left side of the actions has "PATRICK," and the right has "LIVERPOOL." The actions also have detailed scrollwork, fish pattern hammers, folding triggers, and Birmingham proofs and "86" (assuming the number oriented the same way as the proofs) at the breech. The checkered grips have "HA" inscribed silver escutcheons. They come in a hardwood case with a Patrick trade label inside the lid, "84" marked bullet mold, bore rod, powder flask, caps, lead balls, pick, and key.

ConditionVery good with gray patina on the iron, aged patinas on the action and silver, minor wear, and distinct markings and engraving. The grip is fine and has crisp checkering and minor handling wear. Mechanically needs work.
