The Damascus barrel is stamped "HENRY'S PATENT RIFLING" and "68" on the upper left flat, and the full length raised rib is matted and signed "WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LIMITED. BIRMINGHAM." in gold inlay and has "RIFLE/FOR NO. 2 CASE" at the breech end. It is equipped with an adjustable globe front sight, eight rear sight leaves with platinum sight lines graduated from 100 to 800 yards, a 1-1500 yard graduated tangent rear sight, and a finely adjustable aperture target sight mounted on the upper tang. The action has fine scroll engraving along with a deer vignette on the right, "WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO./LIMITED LONDON" in a banner on the left, and "DEELEY & EDGE'S/PATENT" on the lower left. The lever has a pivoting safety catch, and the trigger has a set mechanism blade. The forearm has an engraved silver cap and fine checkering. The nicely figured buttstock has a checkered wrist, a silver escutcheon with an engraved coronet over a monogram, a 14 1/2 inch length of pull, engraved silver heel and toe plates, and a checkered butt. Sling swivel eyes are fitted to the middle cleaning rod ferrule and the buttstock, and a brass tipped cleaning rod is mounted below the Birmingham black powder proofed barrel.
