Joseph & William Richards were active 1808-1810 on Staining Lane in London per Howard L. Blackmore. It has "J.&W. RICHARDS" on the left, "LONDON" on the right, light martial and border engraving as well as some floral accents, Tower private proof and view marks flanking "crown/R" on the bottom of the barrel, a folding bayonet with 4 1/2 inch blade secured and released by the trigger guard below the barrel, sliding half cock safety catch, and smooth grip. The bore is estimated above and flares out to 7/8 of an inch at the muzzle.
