Manufactured circa 1920s by J.R. McChesney, who is known as the "Grandaddy of the Texas style spur". McChesney is also often cited as the creator of both the "gal-leg" and "goose neck" shanks. The upturned heel bands are double mounted with lightly engraved silver and copper. The gal-leg shanks are double mounted with silver and copper ending in 5-point star rowels. They are fitted with period stamped border pattern leather straps made by Harpham Brothers.
