Manufactured in 1897. The accompanying factory letter lists this revolver with a 5 1/2 inch barrel in .44-40 caliber, blue finish and hard rubber grips when shipped to G.M. Williams Co. of New London, CT, on October 13, 1897. Standard Colt markings including the stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" barrel marking and matching serial numbers on the frame, trigger guard and back strap.
