Description:

Manufactured by Texas native and 1998 Academy of Western Artists spur maker of the year, Billy Klapper. Double mounted with nickel and copper featuring floral patterns on the lateral arms of the heel bands and "50" on the medial arms along with Klapper's mark and "91". The "gal-leg" shanks are also nickel mounted with floral patterns on the lateral side, "D.W." on the medial side, and have clover leaf rowels. The heel bands each have a "KLAPPER" marked buckle and a swinging button. Heel band width: 1" Shanks: 2" Rowel diameter: 1 1/4" Heel opening: 3 1/4".

Rating Definition:

Very fine, showing mostly bright finish with the copper mountings slightly patinated and some scattered minor surface oxidation. The leather on the buckles is excellent with very minimal wear and crisp stamping.
