Manufactured from 1931 to 1940 with this example subsequently engraved and equipped with a King Super Target upgrade package. It features near full scroll engraved coverage. Amongst the scrollwork on the frame is a rabbit on the left side (covered by the grip panel) and a blank oval panel on the right side. The engraving extends to the sides of the vent rib and trigger shoe. Hammer marked "KING/COCKEYED/HAMMER," and the rib is marked "S&W"-KING SUPER TARGET." Red bead front sight on a mirror base, fully adjustable white outlined square notch rear sight and Herrett checkered thumb rest target grips. Matching serial numbers are on the butt, cylinder and barrel.
