Manufactured in 1948. With a blade on ramp front (with provisions for a hood) and fixed express notch style rear sights. The receiver has been fitted with a Griffin & Howe quick release scope base and a Bushnell Scopechief II scope. The floor plate has been non-factory stamped "SUPER GRADE". Polished bolt with a blue extractor. The bolt handle has been modified to clear the scope. Mounted on a multi-point highly figured walnut checkered custom pistol grip stock with an ebony forend tip, hard rubber grip cap with wood diamond insert, cheek piece, and a vented rubber recoil pad. With a leather sling.

Very good as Period customized/refinished with most of the blue remaining, with areas of high point and edge wear, scattered surface scratches, and general handling marks. The serial number has been buffed light and the lettering in "SUPER GRADE" is offset. The bolt handle shows grinding marks and a brown patina where is was modified to clear the scope. The wood is fine with small indentations and surface scratches throughout, a gap at the forend tip, and hardening and deformation of the recoil pad. The sling is broken. Mechanically excellent. The optics are very clear.
