Excellent World War II U.S. Stevens 520-30 Trench Gun

This is an excellent example of a late production WWII U.S. Army contract Stevens Model 520-30 trench shotgun with the correct bayonet lug adaptor and ventilated handguard. The left side of the barrel has the three-line address (partially obscured by the handguard) along with "P." at the breech and front edge of the receiver. The right side of the breech end of the barrel also has a small "P/Ordnance Bomb" proof. The left side also has the Stevens Company two-line markings of: "PROOF TESTED-12 GAUGE/-2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER-", with no barrel/bore choke markings. The left side of the receiver is stamped with a small "P/Ordnance Bomb" proof followed by "MOD. 520-30" and towards the rear it is stamped "U.S.". It is correctly serial numbered "56044" on the rear end of the trigger guard tang. It has a matte blued finish on the barrel, magazine tube, pump handle, and heat shield with a dark gray parkerized finish on the receiver and trigger guard. The bayonet lug, has the correct Stevens pinkish color overall due to its alloy metal construction but lacks the correct "S" type marking. It is fitted with a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a black plastic buttplate. The stock and bayonet lug are correctly fitted with sling swivels. It comes with a very long, unmarked green web sling.

ConditionExcellent with 95% plus of the original blue/parkerize finish overall with only light handling marks/wear in a couple areas. The pump handle and buttstock are both also in excellent condition with a nice original oil finish, showing only minor scratches/handling marks towards the rear end of the buttstock. Mechanically excellent. A solid example of a WWII Stevens model 520-30 trench shotgun.
