Manufactured in June of 1944 and later arsenal upgraded to M1D Sniper configuration. Blade front and peep rear sights, with "DRC" and "NI- C" drums and a Springfield "S-A-10-52" barrel with integral scope base. Internal components include a Springfield bolt, trigger housing, hammer, and the relief-cut operating rod, and "TE/4-69" on the receiver leg. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a circled "P" on the underside of the wrist, Springfield "S.A." on the left side, and a checkered steel buttplate. A plain brown shipping box with CMP South labeling is included containing the following accessories: a matching hand-numbered 1980s vintage packing list, "1-52" dated MRT cheek rest, sling, canvas case, green canvas scope pouch, assorted cleaning gear, green canvas sling, and a U.S. M82 scope with mount, sun shield and rubber eye piece. Much of the original packing material is included, with some of the smaller components still sealed.

Very fine as arsenal upgraded to M1D-sniper configuration, with 98% arsenal parkerized finish, showing some mild wear and handling marks overall. Traces of storage residue are present. The stock is fine, with some dings and areas of faded varnish. Mechanically excellent.
