Description:

Manufactured during World War II. Single bead sight on the bayonet lug/4-hole heat shield, with the barrel marked for cylinder choke and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. Flaming bomb proofs are present on top of the barrel and on the left side of the frame next to "U.S.", and "US-TEC-CL-32" has been added to the left side of the frame. No hard documentation is available on this marking, though it may be associated with the Tennessee Valley Authority Electric Company, which was staffed with armed law enforcement and security from it's founding, and was vital to the war effort due to the pressing need for electricity for aluminum production. Similar markings have been seen on other WWII-era shotguns. Ribbed forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock, with "G.H.D./Ordnance cannons" on the left side, sling swivels, checkered buttplate and a 13 5/8 inch length of pull. With a brown leather sling and a Winchester marked Model 1917 bayonet with sheath.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 70% of the original blue finish. A gray patina is forming on the bayonet lug, magazine and high edges, along with a brown patina near the front of the magazine that is an added (non-factory modification) ring around the front at the bayonet lug juncture. Mild spotting, scattered light scratches, and minor handling marks. The stock is very good, with cracks at the forearm and wrist, along with a number of dings and scuffs. The bayonet is very fine with much of the original blue, and the scabbard shows minor cracking. Mechanically excellent.
