Description:

This is an example of a 1914 dated Imperial German 1914 Military/Police Luger. The distinguishing feature is that it was fitted with a sear safety spring on top of the side plate. The top of the chamber is dated "1914," and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown over Gothic letter proofs next to the Imperial eagle proof, which is also stamped on the rear of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. This example was manufactured in the "c" block, so it went through 4 years of use during WWI. It is numbered in the military fashion full serial number (1821) on the frame, barrel extension and underside of the barrel with "c" suffix on the frame and barrel and the last two digits (21) of the serial number on the smaller parts. The safety area and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT and GELADEN". It has standard fixed sights. It is fitted with unnumbered checkered walnut grips and comes with a tin plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% of the original blue finish overall with only minor edge and high spot wear and cold blue touchup on the muzzle. The smaller parts retain 98% of their restrawed colors overall. The grips are also excellent with nice, sharp, distinct checkering on both sides. Mechanically excellent.
