Description:

This is an example of a standard pre-WWII German Army Luger pistol as produced by the Mauser factory. It is dated "1939" over the chamber and stamped "42" on the top of the toggle. It has the late production all blued metal parts with the walnut grips. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped with two "Eagle/655" proofs next to the Nazi Eagle firing proof, with both of those type proofs also appearing on the right and left side of the barrel. The left side of the breechblock also has the same Nazi eagle firing proof. It has the standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked upper safety area and extractor. It has the military serial number placement with the major components all having the full serial number (3905) with all the various smaller parts correctly numbered with the last two digits (05) of the serial number. It is fitted with a set of unnumbered, checkered walnut grips. It has an all blued unmarked magazine with an aluminum base which has been restamped with the matching serial number "3905/x/+".

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% of the blued finish overall with just minor edge or high spot wear. The grips are also in excellent condition with nice distinct, sharp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. A really nice looking Mauser Luger with all matching numbers, with the magazine being renumbered as noted above.
