Winchester Model 50 shotguns were manufactured from 1954-1961 starting with serial number 1,000. Interestingly this example has a two-position selector switch/screw on the bottom of the receiver near the serial number and factory oval proof that is marked "20 GA." and "28 GA." This may have been installed by Simmon's Gun Specialties, who also installed the vent rib. Otherwise standard markings and features. It appears to have been returned to the factory at some point in its life and has a factory tag attached that is marked "SAVE FOR PARTS", is initialed, and dated "3/95". It also has a metal factory tag on the stock marked "W 674". 2 3/4 inch chamber, marked improved cylinder but measures cylinder choke, and 14 inch length of pull. The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the shotgun by model and serial number, stating that it was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.

Very fine, retains 97% original blue finish with some minor handling marks, scattered light wear, and some light oxidation near the selector switch. The stock is very good with minor handling marks, a crack in the forearm, and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
