There is a factory "Quality Control Test Gun" tag that is marked with the rifles model and serial number as well as "Returned from Olin to Engrg Vault on Jan 25, 1995 by P Giglio". The rear sight elevation ramp is absent and there are four drilled and tapped holes for scope mounting on top of the barrel (rear sight covers two holes). The included FN America Certificate of Provenance identifies the rifle by model and serial number, stating that it was previously a part of the Winchester Factory Collection where it was maintained by U.S. Repeating Arms.
